IceFire on this forum did one or two of those conversions.

Personally, I'd rather put a 603 in the SEC.. more power and less tractor sounding.

617's are awesome. I'd take one any day over the 603.

I'd love an SEC with a 617 in it, but I'd love it more with the 560 still in it.

a non turbo? with that body?

I agree with joe. 603.961 wins as the best motor. who would paint the valve cover red anyway/

I personally like the 617 better than the 603 because of the "tractor" sound. What fun is a 603, no valve adjustments, haha.

If I were to do that conversion I would have atleast gone with a 617.952.

Did anybody notice the SLS suspension drop when he shut off the motor at like 1:30 in that youtube video? And while he was walking along the pass. side to the front, all the dents/damage and poor respray job?

or is this all just me noticing and criticizing? ........that car is a total freaking beater mobile.

lol.

I'd have to throw my support for the 603 in the SEC (SDC). I think the 617/tractor motor fits better with the W123. The S-klasse deserves more power, less noise.
