First off I would like to thank everyone for the 75 or so e-mails I received telling me our site was down. Believe me I was aware of it!!!

We began a process last night about 7pm of moving to a new server. Normally this is a relatively routine process but, in this case it was anything but routine. First off I was not aware that the move would be last night. I had given the approval for the move but a date and time had not been given to me. Usually I try to post something in the Shop Forum to make people aware of things like this. There's nothing like a good fire drill to wake you up!. Needless to say we have been working for many hours throughout the night to find and fix the problems. It has taken almost 24 hours of work to get back up. Whew!!!

Now it's time for a break...

Very similar but...
- no mill manager yelling at me
- no production manager telling me the cost of downtime and how our company must pay his company that cost
- nothing was damaged beyond repair
- I didn't get my hands dirty

On the other hand the feeling of frustration due to unforseen problems and the tireless drive for an immediate solution at all costs was pretty similar!

All in all I'll leave the turbine rebuilds to my former workmates and yourself while I figure out how to keep this site running and start an automotive repair shop.

There's nothing like a challenge!
