Hey,

Look at this site taking off! Wasn't it just a couple weeks ago that 2900 was passed?

They hit 2900 on Jan 19th after doing 100 members in 12 days!

Maybe "Us" members should start a campaign to get Mercedes Benz behind this site officially!

I can see a "intro packet" being given to every Mercedes buyer at a MB Dealer directing interested DIY customers to MercedesShop!

How could we do this? Oops, I forgot to ask Bill, and Donnie if this is something they like to have.

I think Bill, Donnie, et.al., should allow us to establish some system for predicting the precise date and time when the 3000th member pushes the button with the prize being a full-blown Sportline suspension for..........

Me. We can all get behind that, can't we? For me this forum has actually been one of the few bright spots in a rather dreary winter.

Funny you should mention that...

I spoke with a Mercedes-Benz Marketing Region Manager at last year's Amelia Concours d'Elegance. I suggested something similar and also said that we thought we could handle some of their technical questions that currently come in over the 800 number.

He was intrigued by the idea but said that Mercedes NEVER EVER outsources things like that. Nothing more was ever said.

Well then.....,

..., We "the Members" should just start doing what it takes to make it happen for you Bill!

Do we need to start contacting MB? Do you remember his name?

Maybe if the "active" members here where to accidentally come across his email address, certain "Pro" MercedesShop messages might start appearing on a regular basis suggesting an Official backing of MercedesShop!

I think this is a "Win / Win" for Mercedes, with little cost on their part and a increase in Ownership participation how could they loose? A PR Grand Slam.

Anyone else feel this idea has merit?

Ross
