Increase in Spam

It looks like this site is being used by spammers more frequently. Is there some way to route the first 5 or so posts from new members through a moderator for review or have the messages also sent directly to a moderatorr? These spams could then be immediately deleted and the offending spammer eliminated from the site.

In Diesel Discussion, the members are quick to report spammers.
The moderators kill them fast, and their IP address is banned.
The longest delay I recall was under eight hours, even moderators and our Webmaster must eat and sleep to stay healthy.
