Has anyone here delt with them before? 2 weeks ago I posted on their website a request for availability and price for a couple of items. The response I got gave me the price and said call Kathy at ext. 115. So 2 days later I called them and asked for ext 115. A woman answers and I start to tell her about the response I got. She tells me that she was the Kathy in question but she did not give any online responses. There is someone else that does that. I told her that I got a response from them that said to ask for her. She again said she didn't do it and flat out hung up on me. I immediately called them back and spoke with a man and told him what had happened. He started telling me the same thing about there is only one person who does the online request and he wasn't in. I asked him then how did I get this Kathy's name? He didn't have an answer. I did order my part. This was last Friday, he said it would be here by mid week. Of course today is Friday and no UPS truck.
Sorry for the rant, but I hate when someone goes off on me when I didn't do anything wrong. I certainly didn't mean to upset this Kathy. At the same time though I certainly didn't pull her name out of a hat.

The only reason I went to them for my parts is due to the type of parts they are. I need the passenger side headlight bezel (door). Now I know I can get a new one from just about anywhere for about $60, but I thought it would look odd with a shinny new bezel on one side and an old weathered one on the otherside. Plus they only wanted $25. The other part I ordered is a rear stablizer bar. Since these normally don't wear out or break, a used one would do the same job as a new one would do. Of course the used one is much cheaper, $45. Of course people may wondering what happened to the one on my car. Well, don't ask why but the previous owner appears to of had it cut by a tourch. On the driver's side, where the bar makes the bend and becomes flat to connect to the link, has been cut with a cutting torch. So with that and my old rear springs, taking turns has to be relatively slow and delibrate. I can't see why one would delibratly cut the sway bar, but that's my situation. So like I said since this is not something that wears out, why pay big $$$ for new when a used one would do the same job.
Come spring I am going to be ordering, from the partsshop of course, the rear shocks. The other reason I went to Atlanta-Stuttgart was because the shop I bought my car from gets some of their used parts from them. Though so far I am not impressed at all. The kind of service I got would be typical for NJ, but not from the South.

If you want used parts try:
http://www.pgauto.com/ They are not too far from me and their shop looks better than the web-site. ARI |

CJ, I did try them. I called them over the phone. For the headlight bezel they said they only would sell it with the whole headlight assembly and even that he said they couldn't compete with the dealer's prices. For the sway bay he said they didn't have it. I questioned that they didn't have any W116's he said they did but to them it wasn't worth the trouble pulling that particular part. I told them it was only 6 bolts that hold it on, 4 boltd to hold it to the frame and the 2 that attach it to each wheel.
I will keep them in mind of course.
