Bill,

I have been unable to access the FastLane catalogue at all today. Is there a problem or is it getting that much traffic?? Basically what happens is I click the catalogue, new window pops up, but nothing happens beyond that - just keeps trying to load. Same thing if I try to do a search by part number.

I need to check the availability of the speedo drive gear. Wouldn't you know it, the spreader clamp broke off when I was replacing the speedo cable today.

Mike-
We are trying to figure out the problem...
I suspect the server that the catalog resides on is hung and needs to be rebooted. The problem is that it is nowhere near us and there appears to be nobody working there this weekend that we can contact.

It is obvious to me that we need to develop an off-hours and weekend plan

OK Bill, thanks for the info.

On the same note, I noticed that when you hover the courser over the other links on the page, the status bar shows a specific address. But when you hover over the catalogue you get "javascript:showCatalogue()".

Corrupt link?
Just trying to help.

javascript:showCatalogue() is correct.
The problem is not on this page.

The On-Line catalog itself is located on its own server. We are having a problem with that server. It appears to be locked up (frozen). We are trying to find someone nearby to physically go there and reboot it. Unfortunately, the server is in California and we are in Georgia.

We're back up!

Finally, the FastLane catalog is back up and running!

Did I hear you say the server is in california bill?

UH-OH.

With all the energy problems we have been having here I would recommend you find a server not in california.

My hosting service has had all my hosted sites with them up and down for the last two weeks. Down for hours, up for a few, down for more. They are going to be hearing from my attorney soon as well in regards to the lack of notification of things that caused the sites to go down.

Things like moving to new servers with new name servers and not telling us until we found out the sites don't work. Not to mention that they refuse to talk to us and hang up on us when we call them.

Switching to another provider ASAP because can't have sites going down, its bad for my business.

Thanks Bill.

Unfortunately the part I need is unavailable. But the FastLane did have the instrument panel bulbs (replacing all with a couple spares) and the bulb sockets (I bought all you had). After a few minutes of poking around in the catalogue I even found I could eliminate my minor oil seepage from the oil cap, by replacing the seal!

As always, thanks.

We might have the part in PartsShop or we might be able to get it. Be sure to send us a Parts Information Request.
