Hello!
I just ordered the "LiquiVac Oil Extraction Device" Can't wait to use it! Has anyone tried it out yet? Also, I have a 1996 E320, do I need a special tool to remove the oil filter? Or can this be done with any ole wrench;pliers, vice grips etc..? (Sorry if this make you cringed)Thanks! |

To remove the oil filter you will need a special tool. It is part# 103 589 02 09 00 in PartsShop. Basically it is a 74 mm 14 sided socket.
If you want to see what it looks like, look at Oil Change -2 in the DIY section where we changed the oil on my 1998 E430. You will be impressed with the LiquiVac. It is a nice tool.
