Bill,
I finally got around to doing my tranny service. I had ordered my filter through PartShop (#1814) and ordered the one listed for my vehicle 109 270 02 98 (same one shown if you use the identify your engine etc, on parts request). This is a different filter than the one in my tranny. The one in my tranny has an extension tube, about one inch tall and does not sit flush with the tranny. Here is a picture of the old filter in place so you can see what I mean. It does not appear that this extension is a reusable part, due to the cork seal on the end and the new filter has the cork seal affixed to the filter body. The filter body is the same shape and size on both filters (and they are made by the same company). If we can figure out what the part number is for the correct filter with extension tube, then I can order one. Until then, I only have half a service . Thanks.

Mike-
The filter you received looks like a 115 277 04 95. The filter you ordered and SHOULD have received is 109 270 02 98. I will contact you directly via e-mail to resolve.
