Have you eliminated the look up option for parts based on the model of the Mercedes? In the past there was a listing of the most common parts used such as oil filters, wiper inserts, brake pads etc. It seem that there is no way to find a part without having the part number, other than an email request for look up. Is that correct or am I missing something?

I think you are referring to the old FastLane screen, where the common items (filters, brake pads etc) were listed. You can still find that by clicking on the Parts Request link, then click on the link if you don't know engine number. That will give you that old FastLane screen with all the common items.

Hope this helps.

Mike:

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the link and all I get is the chassis number and engine number. There doesn't appear to be another screen like the old fast lane one that gives the Mercedes part numbers for the standard items such as filter, wiper inserts etc.

Am I doing something wrong or was this feature elimnated as I suspect?

Bob I.

D'OH

Well Bob, it WAS there last time I looked. Just tried and you're right, it's gone :(.

You could still search by part name in PartsShop and get all the filters or whatever, then just pick the one you need. If you have ordered before, you might be able to look in the account history and get the part number, or try your hard copy records. You do have records, don't you??

To search by name, go to enter the shopping cart, at the top of the screen there is a search function. That search function will search for item by name. Try to keep it simple, or you may get zero matches, example, rather than typing "124 brake pads", try "brake pad" or simply "brake".

See if that finds what you need.

The new FastLane replaced the feature you are referring to.
In most cases you can get a part number by going to the FastLane catalog, finding the part you need and then click "buy" to load it into your shopping cart. You can always click delete if you decide not to buy it.
