I bought a used MB and during the recent rain, one wiper blade came loose and flopped around like a broken bird wing. I managed to secure it with a large paper clip (no I'm not joking. :-)) The problem was the little plastic tabs which prevent the blade for slipping backward and coming off the wiper arm blade hook. Of course the new blades come with these little plastic tabs, but it seems such a terrible waste to throw the blades away when all that was needed was another little plastic clip. Where can I get the plastic clips for the blades?

As far as I know, you cannot buy the clips. The only parts available are the blade which includes the metal frame, clip and insert. Or just the insert.

Thanks Bill. Guess I will now look at fabricating a metal replacement clip. In Saudi (or other hot desert climes) it makes little sense to use plastic for such an application since the sun will quickly deteriorate the plastic. Properly done, it will be almost unnoticeable and last for years.
