Does anyone know of a seatbelt repair kit that is available?
The female side of my rear seatbelts have all broken. The plastic ring that holds the button, spring, and lock mechanisms have dried out and broken over the years. The die-cast 'buckle' looks as though you can purchase an after-market repair kit, because the trim ring that holds it all together just snaps into the holes. The belts have hardly been used, I'd hate to scrap them. Do I have to get some used belts or is a repair kit available? BTW, it is for my 76 240D. The local junk yard wants $30 a piece for VERY used ones... I think MB has new for around $60. Is $30 too much for used? Thanks, ------------------ William 76 240D - 545K miles 78 300D - 200K+ miles |

Submit a PartsShop inquiry and we'll see what we can find for you.
Hope this helps...Lee |

$60 for new sounds like a darn good price for something that will save your life! See what the parts shop can do for you and then buy new. It would be cheap at twice the price! Just my two cents!
