I haven't gone back through the threads to see if this has already been suggested, but after reading some of the longer threads, I notice that sometimes they take on a "chat" like feeling.

How about adding a "Chat" room to the site? It would be a great way to get to know some of the active members on a more day to day basis, outside of just MB talk.

I realize that a "chat" room would pose other issues and wouldn't have the history that threads allow, but, well, it was a thought that crossed my mind....

Would be interested on what others thought of the idea.

But.... I have been on other sites that have a "chat room" option where ppl can log-in to chat, and each room would have a core focus. Here would be those who have a deep interest in MB's. I thought about it after reading the post about one member "noticing" when other members were "on" Mercedesshop.com

Still, just a thought...

explained earlier was that you would "lose" the tips, hits and recommendations on the vehicles. You would not want to use the chat room for car repair help IMHO.

I agree 100%, repair, tips and tricks would be lost, but reading through some posts, the info passed along sometimes takes on a chat-like feeling. I mean no offense by this, in fact, I think it is cool that MercedesShop.com members get to know one another through the posts.

Again, this is only my opinion, but I think it would be cool to have an area just to chat, you know, tell stories, find out more about your fellow members and have an area to gain info on repairs.

Maybe it's just my hang-up, but I don't like to post unless I feel I have something useful and timely to contribute. I do very much appreciate all those who do contribute on a regular basis, and find the info they offer very beneficial.
