Ignition Switch & Manual question.
I was looking on buying the ignition switch for my car but on the parts page, they list two with the same part # but look different. Do you know which one fits my car?

Do you have a master kit for that and do you recommend the 90 degree fittings too or just the normal hose ends? Couldn't find any manuals for sale on your site. I'm looking for a service manual for the whole car. Thanks for having this thread and taking the time to answer the posts. All car info is below. (ca. emissions)

Hello Rick
Both switches are the same, different manufacturers. What hose kit do you want? * Cooling system. * Vacuum system. * Air intake system. * A/C system. * Engine oil cooler lines. * Transmission cooler hoses/lines. Note: VIN# is needed for the correct set. Note: The authoritative manual on Bosch Fuel injection. This is the only book that fully explains all aspects of Bosch systems: L-Jetronic, LH-Jetronic, Motronic, LH-Motronic, D-Jetronic, K-Jetronic, KE-Jetronic, and KE-Motronic. 2C100-10835 Bentley IN STOCK Note: The new 5th Edition of the Bosch Automotive Handbook is the standard for for practical, concise and illuminating explanations of the design and operation of automotive systems. Its lucid presentation of both basic and complex automotive principles, engineering theory, and applied mathematics is without peer. 2C100-165470 Bentley IN STOCK Here are a few links that may help you. Thanks for the quick reply. I'll call phil for the parts. I need the kit for the ??????. After rereading your post I see that everything is a vacuum hose. Guess I just should get some bulk vac. hose and do the ones that are the worst. Did some but they are SAE sizes. Wanted to get the correct ones for my baby. I don't have the vin right now but I'll call or post it later.
Too bad about the switch. Looks like it just 'pulls' out and you replace the end but I see that I'm talkin about the male electrical plug, the female is that part that I want. I want to replace it because i posted a problem that my Climate Control fans don't work unless I jiggle the key, and then it works. Sometimes it doesn't. Someone said that this was the fix?? Thanks also for the info on the mauals. rick

Ignition Cylinder Tumbler replacement; mixed diesel/gas Ignition Switch problem 1981 300 SD. The issue is (1,999,999.9%) generally in the switch, not the wire harness connection. |
