We have made some significant changes to the ShopForum Gallery:

1) Increased image size limit to 800x600

2) Auto image resize - most images are now resized down to max 800x600 if necessary. (smaller images are not resized up)

3) Auto image compression - most images are now auto compressed to fit within the file size limitations. This works in most cases. However, if you try to upload a very large file (over 2MB) you will have to so some resizing and/or compression on your PC first to at least get it below 2MB.

4) All images are converted to jpg when uploaded. (The new auto-compression will not work with gif, png, tif, bmp, etc.)

5) New ways to view images within a gallery. Click on the thumbnails to view images in a "lightbox" viewer.

Hopefully, these changes will make it easier for members to upload and view pics in the ShopForum Gallery.

NEW - Search capability added to the ShopForum Gallery.
So if you want to see all galleries with pics of a 300SD, you can search the gallery titles or descriptions for that model.

Is that why the pictures seem to change sizes sometimes when you first click on them?

The pictures should not be changing sizes other than thumbnails vs full size pics. Maybe you're looking at the way lightbox works. If you click on a thumbnail within a gallery then lightbox draws a frame for the image and then the image appears. The size of the frame is determined by the size of the image. People upload different sized images. We allow up to 800x600 but many images are smaller than that because the image uploaded was smaller than that.
