The thread was a direct comparison of the pricing from various vendors. You may not realize it, but our forum exists for the sole purpose of selling parts. Without those parts sales there is no forum.
So, in respect to our sponsor, who charges you nothing for all the info that you receive, we don't discuss competitor prices in his home. The statement to that effect is also present in the forum rules.

well you should have just deleted the poll, not the whole thread. I fully understand why you deleted it but there was alot of useful info in that thread.

Makes perfect sense. Sorry for the offense.
I do plan on buying the electronic replacement from Fastlane, since it was only a bit more than the inferior aluminum replacement from another vendor. Am I forgiven?

Being a salesman, who has at times had customers pump me for information only to go an buy them item in question from a competitor, I am always acutely aware of stuff like this.
My dealings with the sponsors here have been very pleasant and they have always been very quick and very helpful.

I find it unusual that group buys were allowed on the Forum (are they still allowed?) that seems to conflict with the sponsor making sales.
I still remember the fellow that was buying a few items for Forum members, he was getting parts wholesale and when the Sponsor or duly elected Forum police found out where he worked they called his supervisor and said that was a violation of some kind and he got put on suspension. That didn't seem fair to me but the fact remains we are all guests of the website's owners.
