I don't get instant notify via email - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Hi, I for some reason can't get this site to notify me when I subscribe to a thread. I have checked to get instant email but I still don't get it. I am a member of the Turbodieselregistry and they use a very simular format. Any help appreciated.

From what I can see you have everything configured correctly. I suspect the problem lies with your yahoo email account. They may be blocking the notification emails as spam.

I just checked ALL spam and there was no email from this site. I checked trash file also.
Is there any other things to check?

You are subscribed to 495 threads and the emails are being sent according to my server's log files. Here's an example from yesterday:

It has to be a yahoo problem. Sometimes you get what you pay for with these "free" email services. Ask them to "whitelist" our domain "mercedesshop.com" if they can.

Thanks, I will try that. Yahoo isn't free to me....I have DSL. Thanks Bill...I'll try to get Yahoo to do the whitelist. I really don't know what that means but I'll try it. Thanks for your effort!! Chris

Hopefully, Yahoo can get it working for you. In the mean time I will continue to monitor my server and see if I can find any reason why you aren't getting the notification emails. I'll let you know if I find anything.

I set up log tracking of notification emails just to recheck that my server is sending emails to you. Everything on this end is working correctly. Here's the latest email that was sent to you. (I obscured your email address in case you did not want it to be published here).

Bill, I have checked my blocked addresses and mercedesshop is NOT blocked. I checked ALL of my spam tonight and the noyification you sent isn't there either. I have checked my personal info on this site ans my email address is correct. Should I quit the site and then reapply? I am not what you would call a computer wiz but I have checked what you have suggested. Maybe you could send something direct to my email address and I will check spam again and if it is there, I can move it as "Not Spam". Thanks, Chris email gorman21@yahoo.com

Can you get another email address? If so, we can simply change the email address for your existing MercedesShop account.

Bill, I think I found the problem.... S o m e h o w... The sites address got blocked and I think I found it in my "Blocked address" file. I had been looking for "mercedesshop". I found "webmaster@mercedesshop" in my blocked address file. I'll subscribe to a current thread on the diesel forum and see if it works. DUH...I feel like an idiot. Thanks for your time and help on your end! Chris
