posting procedure question

On two different occassions I had prepared two unrelated posts. They were not overly long, but did take me some time to type (maybe 40 minutes). After hitting "submit new thread" I am asked to log-in again, so I do. Then I'm told my post did not go through for some reason(s) I didn't write down.

Any tricks to this?

Thanks.

After you log in, hit the "Back" button until you get to where you hit "Submit" the first time. The text box should still be filled in.

Before you hit submit, use the copy feature to mark the entire text you entered, if it disappears you simply paste it back in.

I used to post a LOT of long and technical answers on a couple of BlueBird and bus-conversion forums, this happened often so I'd always select the entire text (Ctrl-a) and then right-click COPY before hitting submit.

When you log in, make sure you check the "Remember Me" box. Otherwise you can back yourself right out of the site by using the back arrow.

If I spend a lot of time typing a post, I always type it in my mail application (one like Google). This way if the application or the computer crashes. You can always get it back quickly and on a different computer (if needed).

That sucks.
