Shipping to canada

Why won't you guys (APE and Fastlane) ship to canada??

I need cam oil tube fittings not available in canada.

How hard is it to put 10 little plastic pieces in an envelope and mail it?

Answer

This discussion has gone around the office for years.

Import tax and the law requires that we be incorperated + have an office in Canada..

The basic answer = added cost of operation.

Have a great day.

Good move, now we canadians can support the site a little at least. I think someone fed Phil a red herring at one time. The border is pretty open.

Try to avoid shipments to Canada by ups of fedex as they lever a large charge to any order greater than 20.00. Usps is far fairer in my experience.

You don't need an office in Canada to ship here. If that were the case everyone on Ebay would need an office here. Import laws apply to Canada not the USA, you are exporting not importing, as long as duty and tax is paid, done. Called Free Trade Agreement. ******** in Phoenix doesn't have a problem shipping to Canada, I am sure they don't have an office up here anywhere. All taxes, duties are billed to the consignee, it has nothing to do with who's sending it. It is simply a matter of a bigger stamp.
