How about a section devoted exclusively to assisting a prospective Mercedes buyer?

I propose the creation of buyers guides based on chassis classifications (e.g., W108, W123) listing issues to consider that are common to all models in that classification, with subcategories for model-specific issues (e.g., 280S, 300D). List subscribers and/or moderators would provide the info based on their own personal and professional experiences.

As I suspect it would be impossible to include guides for all possible combinations of chassis' and models ever produced by MB or DC, I would suggest a limitation to models sold new between 1970 and 1995, or conversely, the five most popular chassis classifications during that era.

The intent is to assist subscribers with relatively condensed information on specific MB's that would help them avoid a pig-in-a-poke.

I would love that FORUM. Sounds like a pretty good idea.

I will do the W202 Chassis! I know so much about them, I don't know what to do with all the information! It's just travelling around through my brain... with no real output (Mercedesshop is the only 'release' and it helps, but no real people care that I know!).
