Phil Rocks!!

Thanks to a quick phonecallt o Phil, our Partsmaster here, I will have my new brakes in very soon.

Front pads wore after only 10k miles, so looking at the discs, I noticed a fairly good lip on the outer edge, signaling to me that the discs were worn causing excessive pad wear.

Thankfully Since I had kept my old pads from my brake pad change before, I was able to change out the pads for some that had more life left in them until my parts arrive.

If it had not been for phil's fast parts lookup and ordering, They would not have shipped out today, which means I should be able to get them sooner than later, which is great for me.

Again, Phil the Master of parts has helped me get what I needed without any fuss, and even convinced me on getting the Good brakes vs the slightly cheaper ones. I mean hell whats a few dollars when it comes to your stopping ability? I say go for the best brakes they make if you can, because thats all there is between you and not hitting someone, the brakes.

My brake band-aid is in place, now all I have to do is get the new discs, pads, and do a little greasy work on the Benz... I'm gonna enjoy it, I'll probably get as greasy as I did today.

1.5 hours to change the rear pads and repair the front pads and order new front pads and rotors, including my shower and cleanup.. hehe not too shabby for a DIY'er

I'll document the front disc change for ya all as soon as I get em in. I wasn't thinking about doing it today just for rear pads, those took about 20 mins tops for me.... Longest part of it ws getting the pistons int he calipers back in. hehe soo it took a few mins more.

Wheels torqued to spec, and we are all set. good for a retorquing in 1k miles, but I'll have to retorque em after the fronts get changed anyway, so no biggie.

Again Phil you Rock man, Without you I would not have been able to get my parts ordered and shipped out today!!!

Phil deserves a very happy Turkey Day, and possibly a nice little X-mas gift from me, I'll have to see what I can come up with.

Everyone who thinks Phil rocks, chime on in!!!

Alon

I ordered a bunch of stuff on a Monday and it was waiting for me when I got home on Wednesday. Man, that was easy. I will buy everything possible here.

Phil Rocks!
