Correcting the headline - Phil died in 2013 - not 2012

I hadn't been on the site for a while but one thing is obvious: Phil was loved by all he touched. He could juggle 5 phones at once and act like you were the only one in the World. I live in Hawaii and we often talked of that...Sad...Sad...But, you can be sure he's up there with a big grin on his face...RIP Phil...and thanks for the memories

I also hadn't logged on in a while, and I am shocked to see that headline about Phil. I would call in, and he would be so friendly and helpful. I occasionally called him "Phillip J Mercedes", which I think he chuckled at. He was like calling your uncle or your dad for parts and to talk. He will be missed greatly, and my sincere condolences go out to his immediate family, and his family here.

RIP Phil...belated, but no less beloved.

My faithful chariot (Lola: 1984 300D) has been parked for over a year, while I drive a reliable, but soulless Honda (no name).

So, I haven't logged on in a while. Just devastated to hear of Phil's passing. His helpful, patient advice and assistance as i cluelessly wrenched away on Lola were truly appreciated.

Hail to the Great Gig in the Sky!

Wow, so sad to hear about Phil's passing.
It is always the good people who leave us to soon.
You're one of a kind, a speciall human being and
your absence will be missed for many many years
to come.

Exactly two years to date of his passing.
I never had the privilage of purchasing parts
from him but always heard of great experiences
of those who did.

I just resently started visiting this site again
after not owning a MB since 2009.

I know it might be a little(a lot) late but
my sinceer and heartfelt condolences to his family,
friends and his internet family for their loss.

Phil might physically be gone but he will live on here
in spirit and in fond memories of his extended family.

RIP Phil.

Louis
