Rename Tech Help

Once again, we had a newb with a diesel posting a question in Tech Help. This happens a lot. I think the Tech Help section needs a name more descriptive of the fact that it's for spark ignited Benzes.

This has always been a problem, but it seems to be worse now that tech help is so much slower and less visited than in previous years...

...back in the day you'd be sped on to DD much more quickly.

"Technical + Open discussion of Gasoline Mercedes-Benz" is the sub-heading of Tech help forum, which is directly above "Diesel discussion".....not to be too much of a tool (even tho i'm proficient at it) but not being observant has consequences

If people read the sub heading then all would be great. But many don't.

roger that.....it's like the 75% of posts in classifieds that don't post location.....reminds me of what dennis leary said about the warnings on cigarettes. you could have a flashing yellow neon heading and reename it "GAS ENGINE TECHNICAL HELP FOR GAS ENGINE VEHICLES WITH GAS ENGINES" and some people are still not going to see it

It's happened a few more times lately. A rename is worth a try. Maybe Petrol Perturbations or Spark Ignited Silliness. Or just something basic like Tech Help for Gas Powered Models.

In my humble opinion the diesel and gas forums could easily be merged, or possibly separate the forums into engine related, suspension/brake related, body related, electrical related, etc .

The problem that I see is that there are lots of threads in either forum asking for help with issues on a gas or diesel model that the motor has absolutely no bearing on, and a member experienced with the chassis who may be able to give expert help may miss the topic because they stick to one forum or the other because they don't own a gas or diesel model.
