thermostat, Wahler or Behr
I guess they are both OE parts. Any reason why I should go for the more expensive Behr instead of Wahler? Thanks.

I have found the Behr has a better flow rate at low rpm than
the Whaler. The design is coned vs. flat disc and I have found that at idle in warm weather , the Behr seemed to have less temp rise. I found the Whaler rate needed a few rpm above idle to flow well. [ resulting in higher idle temps] This may be just the few I tested , but there was a definate difference . I was able to get the Whaler temps to drop by simply adding some rpm's , but the Behr was steady and did not need any , nor did the Rs make any difference...[ thus, my conclusion] Often wondered about this myself... anyone ???? |
