conspiracy theory!?!?!?!?!?!?

why do we have a tech only section?is there something we shouldn't know?i can understand the need for tech's to converse without laymen adding their two cents but what harm would it do for us to be able to 'look through the window and observe'?

Maybe they dont want people posting in there. Maybe they dont want their tricks revield because then we diys would put them out of business. Maybe they can make it read only.

Or maybe they just need a place where they can talk among themselves about how to meet the needs of the Techs who contribute to the forum? Or a private place to discuss potential repairs techniques without fear a non-tech will read it, try it, and tie them up in litigation if they don't have the skills and background to understand all the variables involved?

Who knows? Anyway, it is their site, and if they want a private place, fine by me. When I am a guest in someone's home, I don't think it is a conspiracy if they don't want me in their master bedroom so I can at least see what is going on, let alone demand to participate.

I'm happy for the tech's only section, in fact, I'm glad they get together on here and discuss stuff tech-to-tech.

Aha! We've got two MercedesShop papparazzis in da house!

Maybe we can start a "tabloid" forum, and come up with all sorts of wild rumors about the techs...

..."M.B. Doc abducted by aliens"...

.."gillybenztech" seen eating donuts with Elvis"...

you get the picture!

The threads on the tech section are short and very, very in-depth because it is techs helping techs .

Just to set the record straight, it was actually James Dean, he's thinking on dumping the Porsche for an R230. I told him to hold off and wait for the SLK55.

maybe the "techs only" section...

is where the techs go to to "discuss" how much to charge for service?

It's like the MB dealer salesman who sez "I'll have to ask my business manager" and then proceeds to to into a breakroom and have a cigarette and then come back to you and say "my business manager is gonna kill me for this but...."
