Deleting your Own Post

How do you remove Posts these days. Used to be a delete by edit in the past. Not there any more

If you see an ad (or any other offensive comment) please hit the warning triangle at the top right and report it to the moderators.

We (the moderators) are usually pretty good about spotting and nailing these but sometimes we all get busy and one slips by us.

Unfortunately there are some miscreants who use scripting to create accounts and flood the forum with ads. It's worse than wac-a-mole.

Sorry I meant deleting Post I placed myself. I do not see anyway of deleting it.

Try hitting the ‘edit’ button and then in the dialog, hit the ‘delete’ button at the bottom right. This will delete the post’s contents. The post remains, but the content disappears, and a placeholder ‘this post has been deleted by [username]’ is inserted. You will only have the ability to do this with posts you created.

If that doesn’t work you can also self-report a post and in the reason put ‘please delete, posted in error’. One of the mods will get the notification and will delete it for you. This will not cause any forum penalties for you.

I am having the same issue. I can't find any information or an option to delete a for sale ad I placed a couple years ago. I tried what was mentioned above.
