That depends, is it a 96 or newer? If so you will have to contend with the airbags. The cober snaps off at the bottom and then you slide it upwards where it hangs on the sill of the glass. You have to remove the screws where the latch are, behind the door compartments there are screws, and behind the interior door latch, of course it depends on which model. Good luck!

I think he means the sill at the bottom of the door aperture; like the door tread plate, as in "illuminated door sills".

oops my bad!

jjrodger, your right, I guess I need to take time and read further to get that info! For that you can get started by looking at the following picture to see where the other screws and bolts are to remove. to get the door sills off! Sorry about that!

I tried to attache a pic, but too big! Anyhow on the interior of the car between the seat and the door sill is a plug, then there is a plastic rail that keeps the seat from rubbing against the carpet, remove the plastic trim and the plug, behind there you can get started, after you remove that trim piece there are screws underneath that you can remove the door sill from.

See diagram below. You may have to remove the exterior door and fender trim first.

Driver's seat
adjust all the way back.

Cover (1) above screw (2)
press off.

Screw (2)
screw out.

Panelling (3)
remove upward.

Rubber strip (4)
pull out starting at center and remove toward front and rear.

Screws (5)
screw out (2 each).

Panelling (6)
remove toward outside.

Screws (7)
screw out (8 each).

Screws (8 and 9)
screw out.

Panelling (10)
unclip at top (4 clips) and remove.

Plug-in clips (11)
pull out.

Clips on panelling (10) and clip bottom sections on main frame member
install or check. Replace damaged clips.
Install in opposite order.
