Angry SL 500 Turnsignal Lens Replacement

While my 94 SL 500 was parked at the supermarket the other day, some mental midget obliterated my passenger side turnsignal lens with a shopping cart. Fortunately, there was no other damage. Looking for some insight on DIY replacement, any direction would be most appreciated.

THANX

Very easy

The lens clips in. Open the hood and look at the electrical connector for the lamp in the lens. Between the connector and the fender is the V-shaped clip. Simply squeeze the clip and slide the lens forward and out.

Used lenses are regularly on eBay. I bought a pair earlier this year for $15.

If you buy the clear lenses make sure there not the cheap ones. I bought a new set off of ebay and they suck!!! The rubber strip around the lense wasnt wide enough so there was a gap between the lense and rubber strip and of course they will not refund me.

Benz only for certain items really pays off. Clears fronts for post 98 look are only 40UKP each. Rears are a little more at 110UKP each but what a difference. They totally change the look of the benz.

Don't go for the cheap rears either as they're really not any cheaper and often do not come with a quality seal. The last thing you need is condensation in the lenes...looks real 'cheap'!!

For side repeaters (for those Europeans out there) the post 98s will fit but will need a little modification. A small and thin file is required to modify the lens to fit the pre 98 holder. It's not difficult...

I've just bought a pair of AMG style clear lenses off eBay, cost US$40 + shipping. Who sold you yours?
