129 waterpump replacement ('90 300SL)
Anyone have any pointers or hints? I searched this topic and last waterpump replacement thread was back in 2001...I have a thin, steady stream of coolant coming form the front of the engine, so I assume (without getting underneath her) it is coming from the waterpump. Is this a driveway do-able job (I'm pretty handy)? Thanks for any help.

I replaced mine about a month ago too. Not too hard. If you have not done it already let me know, I can help, I live in Plano. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the reply...I haven't tackled this project yet...the car is temporarily dry docked, so to speak, in the garage until I can find the time and the cash to start working on it. I'll shout at you when it gets underway...and even buy the beer

Well if you have not purchased your water pump yet, I got mine at Park Place for $180.00. That is with the MBCA discount. If you don't have a membership I can get it for you. If you would like to join go to www.MBCA.org Retail it is $290.00. The first ten days of the month is wholesale on parts so it is even cheaper. The job takes about 4 hours. Let me know when you got the time! Happy Benzing!
