1955 300SL kit car
Here's something interesting - a kit car company here in Texas, a company that has been in business for a long time and is reputable (I have even toured their factory in Ft Wotrh) is offering a 1955 300SL kit:

Kinda "yeecch" to me!
Stance and body accuracy looks a bit wrong (and GAWD those wheels)! Interior looks ok, but far from MB styling...so why bother? At least the Cobra kits out there LOOK like the REAL ones!

As they stated, it is a "stylized" version. Its nice that Mercedes is getting some coverage from the kit car industry. For years they had some VW based abortion. Maybe we'll see some better kits in the future.
