How to remove a door panel on SL 98

I need to remove the door panel to check on the lock. The lock is acting weird: Although it shows that it is locked, the door can still open. Anyone can help?

I have the same problem on my 99 SL500, but have not had time to fix it. I have removed the door panel and it is not difficult. You need to remove the obvious screws and a screw in the side storage compartment. Then pop off the plastic triangle opposite the side mirror and the plastic snap connectors behind the door panel (bottom and sides) and lift the panel out. A full description with pictures is provided in an earlier thread. You should be able to find it by searching. Let me know how you make out.
