upholstery color code

Greetings forum Members,

Could someone please tell me where to find the upholstery color code number for the interior of my 1985 280sl?

I need to cover in matching vinyl the left and right rear quarter panels from a different color parts car that I cut speaker holes into.

I opted to preserve the original panels.

I'm pretty sure it's on the VIN plate in front of the radiator. Can you take a picture of the plate and post it? The other alternative is to get the factory production card by writing to: MBAG, 70322 Stuttgart, Germany, include proof of ownership, like copy of title or registration.
