Besides a dealer I know of no other place to get them....and they are still very cheap at the stealerships...a few bucks each.

The only label I know that is fairly easy to get are the "made by benz" signature decal for the window. I'll bet that the others are hard to get for legal reasons - particularly those involving the airbag and pollution controls. I myself am going to take a shot on duplicating the air cleaner label on my '86 - I avoided it while polishing out my air cleaner housing but it's still a little ratty looking.

They can order anything like that no problem, the parts guy didn't want to look it up, it'd be hard to find it in the EPC (may be parts group 98). The BEST thing is if you still have a sticker to read, the part number should be in small print at the bottom.

Thanks guys
Of all the stuff I fixed on this car
These labels are the worst pain to find
I have no old labels so I have no part #s
The pic is from a car I found on internet
Someone will have the answer for this problem
I must be patient
Thanks guys

I'm telling ya, they are available, need a GOOD parts man to look them up. Maybe someone with the MB EPC o their computer can look, or ask Phil if he'll order them, trick is to know which group number they are in, I am pretty sure it's group 98.

Ok folks,I have found out that most of the engine stickers are no longer available(emmision control,AC,and others). MB said something about legal ramifications. There is 1 sticker that you could still get, and thats the one on top of the air filter(its written in 3 languages and has a red lightning bolt). It also has a new part # which is [A 210 584 00 47].I got it from my MB dealer.Thats the good news, the bad news is that its smaller than the original. The original size is 2"x3", the new size is 1"x2"!. I'm not sure I'm ok with that. I took the new sticker to a print shop to see if they could duplicate it in the original size. It is a heat resistant sticker with 3 colors, and the minimum amount that they would make is 250. So it would cost $250. FUGETABOUTDAT! Does anyone know of any resources I might try to get an original size or other stickers? Does anyone make any NOS for these stickers?

Thanks.affab

Try possibly one of the Mercedes Classic Centers for help on locating some. I'd say the one in Germany would be your best bet. They have a website where there are details on how to inquire on NLA parts and such.

I had luck finding NLA VW (1980s vintage stuff, engine stickers as well) from a VW show and swap meet; had to look at EVERYTHING but I found what nobody had available, in perfect NOS shape. Again, probably best bet would be a Mercedes show in Western Europe and/or Germany. Kinda tough to just drive out to one from here though.

As for the emissions sticker....I bet they still do have them; and my dealerpartsman concurs, but as said, legal liability probably keeps them hidden away. Keep diggin' !

There won't be any help from the Classic Center for a 1988.
