glass breakage easy!

I was replacing drivers side window channel on my 63 split window Corvette. I removd the window glass and put to rest on its edge (with channel on). Blooey, the whole window just blew! (lots of small fragments) lucky to replace with same dated oriiginal window. Never expected this, quite a shock! JUst goes to show how delicate glass handig is! Let the pro do the windsheild, lots of luck, Abe G
