Driver's Side Visor Removal Question
I have a 560SL and I'd like to take the visor off completely....there is a screw piece that I thought was holding it in but it didnt seem to do it. Anyone know how to take the damned thing off?

You have to take off the half of the vinyl coated piece above the windshield to get it off. The screw should be visible. You will probably need to unhook the light. While I was in the process of doing this, one of the wires (always hot) had a broken insulator on the light assembly, touched something, and blew a fuse.

Driver's Side Visor Removal Question SL500
I have the same question about a 1993 SL500. How does one remove/replace the visor....and any idea where one can be found?

I forgot to mention that you need to remove the rear view mirror to get at those screws! It comes off fairly easily (just pops off, safety feature), but can be hard to put back on. Someone (on this board?) broke their windshield pounding it back in!
