1990 300sl Soft top replacement

I have a 1990 300sl and the soft top is looking a little worn, so I have purchased a new one, does any one know hot to fit on of these or where to get some instructions? local dealer not really being very helpful

top install

It claims elapsed time aproximately 4 hours.

According to other posts install costs around $400.

If you are going to do this yourself why don't you document it for a DIY article.

i believe those are for the 107 SL only, they need them for the newer 129 SL. stand by guys, i will get it off to you soon.

I did one about 5 years ago on a 90 300SL, what a nightmare. It took me two days and I would never do it again. Find a decent shop and pay the money.

Everything was pretty straight forward other then where the rear section meets the front, there is a rubber strip on the outside that has to go in between the two canvas pieces and they wrap around a steel bow.

instructions

just wanted to let those of you waiting for the info that i have hit a snag, i tried to make them into a pdf file, but since the document is so large, my acrobat is having some issues, i will work more with it this weekend, sorry for the delay.
