SL 600 performance chip?

94 SL 600 performance chip? I found it(2 chios actually) on ebay for about $160 and they had really good feedback. The basic claim was to take away the top speed governor and increase power evenly about 10-15%. It sounds too good to be true. Does anybody have any info?

I'd put a good healthy discount on that claim of 10-15% power increase

If you are smart, you will run from any mods to the car. I hear these things are finicky enough without you helping them along.

Thanks, I appreciate the input. The car is already fast enough(here it comes), "but" I hate the top speed governor. I live in San Diego and I try not to drive like an idiot in traffic, but during the right time of day you can hit top end with no traffic. The new Ted Williams goes all the way through from Del Mar to the 15 and its smooth as silk with no traffic in between morning and evening rush hour. Once in a while, your car deserves it.
