99-2002 SL Owners with 17" Wheels

Will the 17" road wheel fit into spare tire tub in trunk......still looking for spare wheel for my 99 and found some stock 99 SL600 17" wheels with 245mm tires for sale.

Think so. I have a full size and fully inflated tyre in my spare wheel well. Not sure about the wheel's dimensions, it is not the same as the road wheels, but rather is a cheap black-painted number, but I think it is full size. The tyre is certainly full size.

Hi Callen. Besides the overall dimensions of the spare tire/wheel in the wheel well ,the mounting platform configuration under the spare may cause a fitment problem. Any way for you to test fit before you purchase?

I don't think this will be an issue as the wheel is mounted with the outside face up.

located factory rim from 99-2002 SL500/600. Fit fine with 235MM tire in spare tire well...also no problem with black plastic thingy....
