500SL hardtop leak at A pillars

There is a trim piece that covers the latches and switches that goes from left to right attached to the front bow. I have found that there can be a slight gap or even an opening at the corners in the water channel and even if the drains are clear water can leak in at the corners, by filling in the gap with silicone sealer from left to right I have stopped that piticular leak, now on to the other drips......
