'91 grille

Does anyone know if there is a place to get just one slat for the 129's grille. I got into a low speed accident with an SUV and his trailer hitch damaged just one slat of my grille. I found out that a new grille was $850, so I'm hoping I wouldn't have to replace to whole grille just because of one slat.
Thanks

I have ordered numerous ones for my dads SL600. They are like 150 for one slat. You can order them from the dealer (I got mine from the dealer), but I am sure phil from fastlane can get you one.

You can order them one slat at a time from Phil at Fastlane. There is a different part number for each one. They are very easy to change. The last time I bought one it was only about $75, but that was several years ago. All in all, an awful lot of money for a piece of aluminum.

Oh yes, they looked at me like I was stupid. They happed to be called baffle plates to the MB guys. I was like "A slat on the grille." And they were like "Sir, we cannot find slat on the grille. We can only find baffle plate."

Thanks for the help. You're all awesome! Even $150 beats $850 for the whole grille. But $75 from Fastlane sounds terrific.

Thanks for all your inputs. I've decided to let the body shop fix everything. He's charging me $80 for each "rail". ($64 + 25%). It seems reasonable considering I'll get everything done at once. (Had a dent on the leading edge of the hood from the accident.)
