Manifold pressure sensor.

My 75 280SL has a Bosch D-jet that requires a new MPS. The two on-line sources I found want 2100.00. That's 1/3 what I paid for the whole car.
Befor I rip out the EFI and replace with a carb, does anyone have any suggestions. Bosch # is 0280100111.

The VW T3 DTronic may be the same.
It used a very similar Bosch injection system.
The MAP sensor is an anerobic bellows . Some early ones had a rubber diaphram that would split.
You could take it apart and see if there is anyway to seal it up again.

Have you checked with Mercedes ? or was that them quoting 2k ?

Try this page with a translation programme...you'll find your part listed there.
