Done right...that's enough reason for me to change my own oil. TWICE in a row, I drove my truck away from an oil change, got home and found a funnel sticking out of my engine!! TWICE!!
So now I ALWAYS do my own changes. For sure, they are not going to hae their top mechanic doing oil changes.

Lets face it.. the reason to change your own oil is to make sure its done right.

I change the oil and filter on my sl and datsun roadster. I'm afraid to admit that the value of both of these cars isn't worth more than $ 6,000 total. Besides which its a feel of accompolishment when the work is finished.

Cheers to all

The pleasure of seeing that black nasty used oil flowing from the drain plug(and giving it plenty of time to completely drain).....and then carefully pouring in 8 quarts of clean virgin Synthetic is just heavenly....

just hope when the time comes and I can no longer lay on the creeper I have a proper garage, with lift. (-:

70 Datsun 2000....cool....have pics??
