Trunk mounted stop lights not working

The trunk mounted stop light does not light when the other stop lights work OK. I checked the bulbs and they are OK not voltage getting to bulbs.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

sldan

Follow the power wire back.... It may be broken where it flexes at the trunk
hinge.

Exactly,,, that is where mine broke. Right along the passenger side hinge.

Hard to get to......and not easy to fix without removing the divider between the trunk and the gas tank area....

I just took a quick look at the route the wiring takes and thought I may be able to get to it since I can see where the wire leaves the hinge behind the trunk panel. I can see how it may be hard to fix.

I assume I can cut out the broken section of wire and splice is a new section with a more flexible wire.

Will the service CD tell how to remove any panels?

Thanks,

sldan
