This Newbie wants to know where he can purchase the small hood pad located at the rear of the hood (560SL). He cannot find it anywhere. thank you ahead of time for any replies.

Try E-Bay! Saw a new one for sale for around US$35.00 from the same fellow selling the full size hood pads currently listed. Besides that, sorry can't help.

Try phil at fast lane ,top of the page click on buy parts, the big hood pad is listed, you can always call Phil toll free and ask him.

Hi,

If you are talking about the pad above the blower motor I need one too.
I was told that you can only get it at a Mercedes benz dealer's parts dept.

Thanks for all that responded. I took Carlos's advise and called Phil and he said that no one he knows, including Mercedes makes it any more......Bummer!

That is not true. The Mercedes part number is 107 880 00 97 and you should be able to get one for $42.00.

Would dearly love to support this Forum, Terrific site and good prices, however Phil does not and will not ship overseas! Leaves a few of us out in the cold. Maybe one day, in the mean time, it has to be the likes of E-Bay that get the overseas dollars for Merc bits.

I got one last year from the local dealer. It was a special order, but not a big deal and like Rusty says, it was 40-something. Kind of a pain to install, though. It is hard to get all the adhesive into the nooks and crannies working at the back of the hood.

I just thought you might like to know that one of the Hood Pad Sellers on eBay also has the small pad for the rear of the Hood !!
