Early 450SL vs Late 450SL

What are the pros and cons on purchasing a 1973 450SL vs a 1979 450SL. Asthetically I like the 1973, but are there other issues involved with them? I know the injection systems are different, but have seen post for both systems. Any help is appreciated.
