do the european version 600sl v12s make more power than US spec cars?
i just picked up a 1992 600sl european version and was wondering if it made more than the 402hp of the US cars...i remember seeing reports it made 450 somewhere

the early 600s made over 400hp before they were rerated at 389
just like the 500sl was 322hp before it was rerated ro 315 |

I'm afraid that's a myth. Only the US R107 series had detuned versions for emissions reasons.
You have the 120.981 engine with LH Jetronic fuel injection? |
