87 560sl fuse problem
 

turn on ignition to pos.2, fuse 5 blows out. started about 3 weeks ago, occasionally. now, every time. pulled relays thinking it was window relay defect-still pops fuse. bad ign. switch? no other fuse problems. also tried 16a. fuse-still pops. thanks.

Tell us what fuse 5 controls so we can help you. Star by unplugging every thing that is fed by fuse #5. Put a new fuse in, verfy it does not blow with everything unpluged and turned on. With that confirmed, now start connecting everything one at a time and checking the fuse each time you connect something and turn it on.
