Unhappy Left Window stop in the up position 91sl

I depressed the left window button to the down position, and the window suddenly stopped traveling down and started back up. The window closed completely. And now the window will not respond when I depressed the button. I changed the fuse located in the trunk and still no response. Do anyone have a suggestion(s).

I have no experience with this issue, but I'd guess I'd be checking the window switch in order to determine if the switch is shorted in the up position.

If the switch is OK, then look into the pair of relays under the right rear storage compartment. These relays are part of the top controller system and are used by the top controller to raise and lower the windows during top operations. The switches on the console also activate these relays. But start by looking at the switch as it is the most likely problem.

Cool Resloved for now

OK, I broke down and took the car to the dealer.
The window switch was bad and it also affected the top opening. They both work now! Also, my ABS light was on and the dealer changed the over-voltage throttle switch. The ABS light is off and the car runs better than ever. All for the price of $320.00!
