Horn Frustration

I'm having a problem with my horn, the passenger mirror and the the light on the left side of my instrument cluster on my 87 560SL.
they haven't worked since I owned the car.(2yrs) The horn fuse keeps blowing when I put the ignition in the on position and can 't find the short. I've taken the car off the road for the last couple of months to make the following repairs and can't seem to get the above completed. It's beautiful weather in Austin, Tx and the wife is putting the heat on me. Here's what I've done so far:
1. Replace all fuses and cleaned there contacts.
2. Replace the A/C panel and console wood
3. Replaced Stereo with Alpine and Ipod hookup
4. Pulled instrument panel fixed odometer gear and replace all the bulbs.
5. Replace the steering coupler by removing the steering wheel and the bearing retainer not by moving the steering box.
6. Repaired the Windshield Wiper pivet under the dash, the base broke, so I welded it.
7. I did a visual while I did the above repairs and did not see anything out of the ordinary.
Right now I have the steering wheel off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Keith Davis

Take a drive to La Vernia, Tx., just east of SA and look up Stan Keutz, 1-830-217-4170. He is a certified MB mech. and seems to know what he is doing.
