source for 3rd brake light lens
I'm not sure of the official name but I'm looking for a lens for the trunk mounted 3rd brake light on my 560sl. Does anyone know of a source for one of these new or used? I've tried ebay but I'm not sure of the official name to use for my search.

I don't think that the lens is available as a separate item, and both the "early" and "late" models are expensive. The one shown in the auction is rumored to no longer be available new.

560SL 3ed Light
I have the red plastic Lens for a 1986 model. It is the large one. The case on mine was broken and I replaced the complet unit. If you just need the Lens I can help.
