560 SL Cruise Repair

Well after researching about a billion threads on this subject, I finally took the plunge and tried to pull the amp. I just could not find the bracket bolt that holds the amp bracket to the brake bracket. So, I opened the case and pulled the circuit board. I spent about one hour re-soldering the connections on the board and crossed my fingers when I put it back into the case. IT WORKED!!!!!!! Smooth as silk and in every switch position. Man, am I a happy driver. I just wanted to thank all of the people that have written advice on this topic for us newbies and novices. What a sense of accomplishment. Happy Driving!!!

You lucked into the easy way. Taking out the board is A LOT easier that taking out the whole thing. Congratulations on a job well done!
